a bit about me:

Outstanding Spanish author of books for small children, middle grade readers and young adults. She has a degree in Physical Sciences, with a master’s degree in Nuclear Energy. For fifteen years she worked at a research center, Ciemat. In 2003 she published her first children’s book, and in 2009 she left her job at the science center to devote herself entirely to Children’s and Youth Literature. She has published more than fifty books of stories, plays, and novels.

She has received several awards and recognitions:

  • Ala Delta Award, 2011

  • “Leer es Vivir” Prize, granted by Editorial Everest, 2013

  • Anaya Award, 2016

  • Alandar Award, 2016

  • White Ravens List of the Internationale Jugendbibliothek München, 2013, 2016, 2018, and 2019

  • “Fundación Cuatrogatos” Prize or One Hundred Recommended Book List, finalist, 2017 and prize, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021.

  • “Gran Angular” Prize for Young Adult Literature of Fundación SM Spain, 2018

And for all her work:

  • Cervantes Chico, 2018

Her books have been translated into Chinese, Italian and Korean.

Three new books have been published in 2020 and for 2021 there will be 7 new books.

Two of her books are shortlisted in IBBY Mexico's Recommended Book Guide 2021.
