Hello,

a bit about me:

Distinguished author of children’s books and English-Spanish-English translator. She represents the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) in Mexico.

She has published stories and more than 60 books for children sold in Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Brazil, Germany, Austria, and the United Kingdom.

She has received the following literary prizes:

  • Editorial Art Award of the Mexican Chamber of the Publishing Industry (CANIEM), 2015

  • Six books shortlisted in the Premio Cuatrogatos of the Fundación Cuatrogatos annual list of 100 recommended books in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

  • Winner of the III International Prize for Children’s and YA Literature granted by the State of Mexico (FOEM), 2019

and for books written in English:

  • Aesop Accolade, American Folklore Society, 2013

  • Starred reviews in Kirkus and Publishers Weekly

  • Silver Medal in the focused chapter book category, International Latino Literacy Award, 2015

  • One book is part of the PJ Library Foundation Program

 

Eight of her books are part of the classroom and school libraries program of the Ministry of Public Education of Mexico, with 393,495 copies.

Five of her books are shortlisted in IBBY Mexico’s Recommended Book Guide, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019.

Three books were published in 2020, two in 2021, and one in 2022.
