Hello,

a bit about me:

Distinguished author for children, and English-Spanish-English translator. She writes essays and reviews of children and YA literature books for newspapers, magazines, websites and for the Literature Department of the Universidad iberoamericana, in Mexico City. She represents the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators in Mexico.

She has published more than 60 books for children and are sold in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Germany, Austria, and the United States.

She has been awarded with the following literary prizes:

  • Editorial Art Prize of the National Chamber of the Mexican Editorial Industry (CANIEM), 2015

  • Shortlisted in “Fundación Cuatrogatos” One Hundred Recommended Book List 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

  • III International Prize for Children and YA Literature granted by State of Mexico (FOEM), 2019

Literary Prizes for books written in English:

  • Aesop Acolade, 2013

  • Mention in the American Folklore Society, 2013

  • Silver Medal in the International Latino Literacy Award, 2015

Six of her books are part of the classroom and school libraries program of the Secretariat of Public Education of Mexico with 229,531 copies.

Five of her books are shortlisted in IBBY Mexico’s Recommended Book Guide 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019.

Three new titles published in 2020.
