Hello,

a bit about me:

Outstanding Mexican author of books for children, middle grade, and young adults; she is also a psychologist and Kyva trainer. She has 40 books published: 18 stories, four novels, two poetry, 11 nonfiction, one textbook, three essays, and one adult novel. Her books are sold in four Latin American countries, including Mexico, and in the United States.

She has been awarded with the following literary prizes:

  • “El Barco de Vapor” Prize for Children’s Literature of Ediciones SM Mexico and the National Council of Arts and Culture (CONACULTA), 2000 and 2005

  • Finalist in the “Narciso Mendoza” Poetry Prize of Alfaguara Infantil Publishing House and the State of Morelos, Mexico

  • Best Book of IBBY Venezuela, 2008

  • Editorial Art Prize of the National Chamber of the Mexican Editorial Industry (CANIEM), 2008

  • White Ravens List of the Internationale Jugendbibliothek München, 2009 (with two books)

Four of her books are part of the classroom and school libraries program of the Secretariat of Public Education of Mexico, with 294,960 copies.

Three books are shortlisted in IBBY Mexico’s Recommended Book Guide, 2009 and 2010.

One book has been translated into Chinese and Korean and another book into Portuguese.
