Hello,

a bit about me:

Distinguished Mexican writer, teacher, librarian, translator, and editor. Studied Hispanic Literature in the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. She has 20 books published for children and young readers including picture books, novels, poetry, and non-fiction science topics for children. Her books are sold in Mexico, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico, and the United States.

She has received the following literary prizes:

  • International Children’s and Young Readers Books Fair (FILIJ) Prize of Stories for Children, 1996, and 2000

  • “Juan de la Cabada” Prize for Children’s and Young Adult Literature of the State of Campeche, Mexico, 2000

  • Special mention in Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz International Award, in poetry for children category, 2016

Two of her books are part of the classroom and school libraries program of the Secretariat of Public Education of Mexico, with 52,631 copies.

One of her books has been sold to the United States and Canada with 40,000 copies.

One book is in IBBY Mexico’s Recommended Book Guide, 2015.
